ICCT Iceland National Day Picnic 2025
It was a hot June afternoon when members and friends of the Icelandic Canadian Club of Toronto gathered for our annual National Day Picnic—this year at Christie Pits Park. Although it was a new venue for us, it immediately felt like home: a green oasis in the middle of the city, buzzing with summer energy.
The picnic was filled with fellowship, food, and fun. Long tables of shared dishes, cold drinks, and plenty of conversation made for a lively community atmosphere. A highlight of the day was the spirited performance by the Sygtryggring Vikings, who brought energy, heritage, and entertainment to the crowd.
Special thanks go to Chloe Connors for securing this wonderful new location, and to Gwen, Carolyn and Richard for their organization, and of course to the Sygtryggring Vikings for their continued support of our traditions. With their performance and the company of so many familiar faces, our 2025 National Day Picnic was truly a celebration to remember.
