Nordic Nights: Summerlight… and Then Comes the Night (2022) by Elfar Adalsteins
Our next Nordic Nights feature is Summerlight… and Then Comes the Night (2022) an Icelandic film by Elfar Aðalsteins.
Synopsis
In this quirky comedy, the Village is brimming with stories and if you listen carefully it might tell you some: of the Manager who dreams in Latin and leaves his career for Astronomy and old books, of a translucent boy who carves moorland birds, of an open-air affair and a rock that is chiseled to dust. Based on the eponymous book by celebrated Icelandic author Jon Kalman Stefansson.
