2017 Scholarship and Bursaries: deadlines Feb. 28 & Mar. 22
This is the time of year to begin thinking about ICCT Scholarship applications and reminding your relatives to do the same. Are you or do you know someone of Icelandic descent who is attending post-secondary school in Ontario, is participating in the Snorri Program, or is wanting to attend the Icelandic Language Camp? If so, apply or tell them to apply to our scholarships and bursaries. We offer 3 types:
- A Scholarship of $1000 to a student of Icelandic descent, who is in post secondary education in Ontario. We encourage those with high academic standards, demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement and an interest in their Icelandic heritage to apply. Deadline for applications is February 28, 2017
- A Snorri Grant of $500 to $1000 to a candidate who has been accepted for the Snorri Programme of travel and study in Iceland. Deadline for applications is February 28, 2017
- An Icelandic Language Camp Grant of $500 for a child between 8 and 13 years to attend the Icelandic Language and Heritage Camp in Gimli, Manitoba. The deadline for this application is March 22, 2017
