Icelandic National Day Picnic

Grab your blankets and picnic baskets! Join us for a celebration of Þjóðhátíðardagurinn – Icelandic National Day! The picnic this year will take place at Christie Pits Park and will be for all ages. Families are very welcome! This is an informal event. Christie Pits Park is located on at 750 Bloor St. W. (located between the Christie and Ossington Stations on the Bloor Subway Line). We are holding the picnic at Picnic Area No 2. Look for the Icelandic Flags. 

Join us as we welcome our special guests the Sygtryggring Vikings to our picnic this year. The Sygtryggring Vikings accurately portray the history of the Viking Age to the public through recreations of craft, cuisine, clothing, culture & combat.
