ICCT Social with Icelandic Authors – First Lady Eliza Reid and Auður Jónsdóttir

Friday, September 23 1:30-3:30 pm – Central downtown Toronto location

 

ICCT members have a special opportunity to mingle close-up with First Lady Eliza Reid and Icelandic author Auður Jónsdóttir, the granddaughter of Nobel prize winner Halldór Laxness. ICCT will be serving coffee, drinks and some savory and sweet delights. Wine and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Plan to arrive around 1:30 pm.

Taste of Iceland is hosting First Lady Eliza Reid and Icelandic author Auður Jónsdóttir as part of the celebration of Icelandic culture which includes music at the Horseshoe Tavern, a tasting menu at The Drake and special events. Both authors will also be presenting at the Toronto International Author’s Festival https://festivalofauthors.ca/: Eliza Reid on her book Secrets of Sprakkar: Iceland’s Extraordinary Women and How They are Changing the World and Auður Jónsdóttir will be speaking on a few topics including her grandfather Halldór Laxness and on her latest novel Quake.   

The ICCT social will be in a downtown location, 7-minute walk from the Eaton’s Centre There is Green P parking down the street.  Exact details of location will be sent when you register for this free event and the amazing opportunity to meet two outstanding Icelandic authors and shake hands with the First Lady of Iceland!

This event is free (but donations are gratefully accepted!) but advanced registration is required. The address of the location will be provided to registrants. (It is in central downtown Toronto)
