We Need Your Help to Decide About Holding Thorrablót!

Thorrablót is the signature annual event of the Icelandic Canadian Club of Toronto. It is also our biggest fundraiser. The Thorrablót banquet event was scheduled to take place on March 28th this past spring, but of course we needed to postpone the event due to the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the Province’s stay at home orders.

The province of Ontario has recently moved to Stage 3 of the reopening plan, and many parts of life are getting back to normal. Once again people are allowed to eat in restaurants, shop at malls, attend movies and gather in larger numbers.

Banquet events like ours are also now allowed — up to a maximum of 50 people. But just because such events are allowed, doesn’t necessarily mean its the best thing to do.

Given all this, our ICCT board and Thorrablót committee are carefully considering whether or not to cancel Thorrablót this year completely, or to plan to hold some sort of in-person event. The survey below is designed to allow you to help us make that decision.

We very much appreciate you taking a few minutes to fill in the survey and give us your thoughts!
