Icelandic National Day Farm Fest

June 20 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

We are thrilled to announce that this year your Icelandic Canadian Club of Toronto will gather to celebrate Icelandic National Day at Farm Fest at Lynn Thordarson’s lovely Icelandic sheep farm.

We’ll be celebrating with Lynn all things Icelandic! Come join us on the farm to see Icelandic Horse demonstrations, meet some Viking sheep, watch and participate in fibre demonstrations, listen to Icelandic music, try some Vinarterta (famous Icelandic Cake!) and other traditional Icelandic food from our food vendors and shop amazing hand-made wooly products from our fibre artist vendors. More information about the event at can be found at Kimber Valley Farms

The ICCT is proud to be sponsoring Lindy Vopnfjörð who will be performing at the event.

Also, this is your opportunity to meet the new Icelandic Ambassador to Canada Auðbjörg Halldórsdóttir, who will be celebrating National Day with us at Farm Fest.

We’ll have some of our own activities and centralize our picnic, but to attend our picnic you’ll have to purchase a ticket to attend the farm event (adults $23 and kids free) HERE

It is a beautiful setting, they have a new barn, there is lots of parking and a picnic area. Located in Beaver Valley, Ontario, the farm sits on 92 acres of rolling fields, pasture and a mixed forest, where a stream meanders through the trees before emptying into the Beaver River. There are also Icelandic Sheep who all have names!
